Merino wool - special wool from special sheep
This extra-fine merino stole is a truly versatile accessory. Our stole is lightweight and can be worn in every season, woven entirely from soft merino wool.
It suits both men and women alike. With its beautiful, sheer surface, delicate fringe and elegant drape, it can be worn wrapped over the shoulders or knotted as a scarf. Feather-light, yet still protects against wind and cooler temperatures, making it an uncomplicated companion for travel or dinner on the terrace.
Merino wool is a special type of wool that comes from merino sheep. This breed is known for its fine and exceptionally soft wool, which differs from the wool of other sheep breeds. Merino sheep were originally bred in Spain, but are nowadays also kept in countries such as Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, which are among the largest producers of merino wool. At House of Scotland, we naturally take great care to ensure that our partners use only mulesing-free wool.
