Fancy a classic tartan?

Woven in a traditional Scottish mill from 100% lambswool, this beautiful stole features a classic, timeless pattern and can be worn casually over the shoulders, as a scarf, or as a wrap in any season. The natural material wool provides unparalleled warmth while remaining soft and cozy.

Background information on the Blackwatch tartan pattern:

Around 1725, during the reign of King George I, a patrol (watch) was recruited from six clans in the Scottish Highlands. This watch was given the tartan now known as the Black Watch to ensure easy identification. The uniform consisted of a 12-yard-long strip of cloth tied around the waist. The Black Watch uniform was completed with a scarlet jacket, a red waistcoat, and a bonnet.

The Black Watch tartan wasn't just important in the Scottish Highlands. The tartan pattern, now worn everywhere, became an integral part of the British Army and was regularly used until 2007.
